hitting the road!

Oh, look, I have a blog.

I’m immersed in the wonderful world of my new job and blogging has fallen off my radar a bit. Seth Godin recently posted about the difference between the work of an organization and its story. Being new is about both learning the organization’s story and finding your place in it and fitting it all into your own story. The short version: Darien is amazing and wonderful and I’m thrilled to go to work everyday.

Today, though, I’m in D.C. at Computers in Libraries. I started this post yesterday, but didn’t get to click “Publish.” Last night I met Twitter, which Chadwick summed up nicely over at InfoSciPhi. Today is the first day of the conference and I’ll do my best to liveblog the sessions I go to. I heard a rumor the wifi is holding up to the onslaught of librarian laptops, so I’m hoping to be able to post from the sessions. This is one of my favorite conferences and I’m looking forward to participating while fully connected!

  • Ha -- Our library is undergoing a big reorg, and I have that exact Indexed image posted in my cube.

Found your blog through Swift. I'm also at CIL right now.

What do you think of the Swift application thus far?
