Much as I believe in the right to anonymous blogging, it’s time to come clean. I am the Annoyed Librarian. It’s tempting to believe that the AL is like Santa, living in each of our hearts, coming out whenever we feel a rush of aggravation with a co-worker, another blogger, a twitter pal, a Library 2.0 trend or meme. Maybe that’s true, to some extent, but Santa doesn’t have a blog, now does he?

I know many of you were hoping that the AL would be a 2.0 luminary. The Farkas Fracas was fun for those who wanted the AL to be some sort of split-personality twopointoian. Alas, I am merely a third tier blogger with a more-famous anonymous pseudonym. Even librarians you’ve never heard of get annoyed.

So just remember, the AL is not Santa, but there is a little AL in even the nobodies of the libraryworld. Don’t suppress your AL, but let that little nagging doubt be your guide. I may be the Annoyed Librarian, but don’t let that stop you from being the annoyed librarian every day!
